Russian, Belarussian interior ministries to discuss border

MOGILYOV, April 23 (Itar-Tass) -- Russian Interior Minister Rashid
Nurgaliyev has arrived in Mogilyov, where he will attend a joint
conference of the Russian and Belarusian interior ministries devoted to
issues of border cooperation on Saturday.
On the meeting's agenda are promising areas of cooperation to ensure
the safety of cargo traffic across the territories of both countries
within the framework of the Common Customs Space, and also measures to
better cooperation between the Russian and Belarussian traffic police in
border territories.
"The Russian and Belarussian interior ministries have been cooperating
closely in border cooperation matters. We have set to ourselves the task
of not just evaluating various aspects of our cooperation, but jointly
identifying specific steps to improve cooperation," Nurgaliyev told the
media upon his arrival in Belarus.
