Iran Embassy distributes hot food among tsunami-hit Japanese

TEHRAN, April 23 (MNA) -- On Wednesday, the Iranian Embassy in Tokyo distributed hot food among 500 Japanese in the tsunami-hit city of Yamada, which is located about 650 kilometers from Tokyo.

The food was distributed by a number of Iranian female diplomats at the Iranian Embassy in Tokyo, along with the wife of Tehran’s ambassador to Japan.

The diplomats also met with Yamada mayor and expressed the Iranian nation’s sympathy with the Japanese people.

The Iranian Embassy also issued a statement in which it briefed the Japanese officials about the humanitarian aid that Iran has sent to Japan so far.

The Iranian Embassy also announced the Islamic Republic’s readiness to send more relief aid to Japan upon request from Japan.

It was also emphasized that Iran’s friendly relations with Japan will continue under any circumstances.

So far, the Islamic Republic of Iran has sent three shipment of humanitarian aid to Japan.
