RESULTS OF PREMIER'S VISIT DISCUSSED
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The cabinet have got acquainted with results of the official visit of the Premier S.Batbold paid March 23-26, 2011 to the Republic of Korea. A matter on this will be submitted to the National Security Council (NSC).
The Premiers of Mongolia and S.Korea held negotiations, shared views on the bilateral ties, international and regional issues. They noted the relations and cooperation have been developing in the fields of politics, trade, economics, culture, education, health and humanity at international arena. They considered as necessary to bring the relations into a newer level, agreeing to establish a middle-term program on the cooperation.
The dignitaries decided to forward the cooperation in a mutually beneficial way in minerals, heavy industry, energy, infrastructure, construction, marine transport and port, agriculture, education and environment. They agreed to collaborate in health, medical sciences, defense sectors, and to combat infectious diseases of livestock and animals.
The sides agreed to facilitate the visa terms for the people and to create a favorable condition for the Mongolians who live or work in S.Korea. The government of the Republic of Korea promised to give Mongolia a long-term loan for implementing economy-rising and a human development projects. The S.Korean side also pledged a non-refundable aid of USD 23 million and a a rise in official assistance for development. A joint project will be realized for eco-development as well.
During the visit, the Premier S.Batbold was received by Lee Myung-bak, the South Korean President. Then he met a chairman of the leading party, attended an inauguration of the Mongolian Year in Republic of Korea. By the end of the visit the sides issued a joint statement.
