Tokyo DisneySea to Reopen on April 28
Tokyo, April 20 (Jiji Press)--Oriental Land Co. <4661> said Wednesday that Tokyo DisneySea, which has been closed since the March 11 earthquake and tsunami, will reopen on April 28, just one day before Japan's Golden Week holidays start.
Adjacent Tokyo Disneyland will resume night operations on Saturday, Oriental Land, the operator of Tokyo Disney Resort, said. Tokyo Disneyland reopened last Friday, but currently closes at 6 p.m.
Tokyo DisneySea will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and operate attractions and shows as usual. But it will cancel the sales of items celebrating the park's 10th anniversary in September, out of consideration for victims of the disaster.
Following the resumption of night operations, Tokyo Disneyland will resume the Electrical Parade. But the fireworks show will not be performed.
