Najaf Council: we welcome foreign investment, in case it was serious

Baghdad (NINA) – Chairman of the Najaf Provincial Council, Faed Kadhim Noon, stressed that “Najaf welcomes foreign investment in case it was serious,” a statement issued by media office of Najaf PC mentioned Wednesday.

“The icebreaking of Iraq’s relations with its Arab environment needs great efforts due to the former regime’s mistakes,” Noon said.

“Najaf opens its arms to the foreign investment, especially the Kuwaiti, but, our request is it should be serious, and we are ready to provide all facilitations needed,” Noon said during reception of Secretary General of Iraqi-Kuwaiti Relations Support Organization, Abdul Raheem Al Raf’ee.

For his part, Raf’ee hailed the reconstruction in the city and announced the Kuwaiti investors’ readiness to invest in Najaf in Electricity and housing domains.
