Yemen, Australia discuss agriculture cooperation

SANA'A, Aug. 31 (Saba)- Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation
Mansour al-Hawshabi met on Sunday with Australian delegation headed
by Trade Officer in field fisheries and forests.

The meeting discussed aspects of cooperation between Yemen and
Australia in different fields, especially agricultural, in addition
to Australian role in providing local market with grains, namely
wheat.

The meeting also dealt with making use of Australian companies in
investment opportunities and privileges available in Yemen in field
of food stuffs and others.

Al-Hawshabi indicated importance of making use of Australian
delegation for working on providing Yemen markets with grain in
cheep prices and utilizing of Australian experiences in field of
plant production.

For his par, the Australian trade official noted that the aim of his
visit to Yemen is for propagating for Australian companies to cover
Yemeni markets with grains, noting that existence of competence in
marketing grains contributes in providing food substance with
suitable prices.


He indicated importance of relations between Yemen and Australia and
their role in increasing trade exchange between the two parts in
different products that serve tendencies and services of the two
countries.
