Yemeni-Gulf labor committee set up

KUWAIT, Aug 31 (Saba) - A temporary coordinating committee for labor
unions in the gulf and Yemen has been set up.

The announcement was made at the end of a consultative meeting of
the gulf and Yemen labor unions and committees that was recently
held in Kuwait.

The committee, which would be headquartered in Kuwait, would work in
the future to draw up a vision for its constitution.

The committee will meet every six months in one of the member states
and the meeting would be chaired by the host country.

The committee will also work to coordinate between Yemen and gulf
labor authorities, said head of the Kuwait Labor Unions Khalid
Mutalq al-Azmi who was named as head of the committee.
