Assessment Committee for Damages in Saada holds extensive meeting
SANA'A, Aug. 31 (Saba) - Headed by minister of local Administration
Abdul-Qader Hilal, Minister of Public Health and Population
Abdul-Kareem Rase and Saada governor Hassan Man'a, Assessment
Committee for Damages in Saada held an extensive meeting on Sunday
over performance of the assessment teams for damages.
The meeting discussed role of the executive offices and local
councils to coordinate with the Saada Rebuilding Fund to re
construct the governorate. Rase said that there are more than one
hundred heath facilities were damaged in the war, pointing out to
the importance of rehabilitating these facilities socially Razh
Hospital and Hedan Hospital.
He made it clear that the ministry draw a plan to operate these
health facilities to provide health services. Rase pointed out to
president Ali Abdullah Saleh's directives to transfer $ 28 million
which was presented a loan from World Bank to rebuild the
governorate in addition to $ 200,000 presented by the World Health
Organization for the health sector in the governorate.
Hilal conveyed congratulations of president Saleh for citizens of
Saada on advent of the holy month of Ramadan, highlighting efforts
of the governorate's leadership to achieve peace security and
stability in the governorate.
He added that the president decision and ten points became religious
and moral commitment and all should pay efforts for rebuilding.
He said that 5,000 public and private facilities were assessed,
Hilal said, the president Saleh ordered to allocate YR 10 billion to
rebuild the governorate.
He said food assistance would be distributed to the displaced
people during Ramadan.
For his part, Saada governor said that activities of assessment are
undergoing to start then stage of paying compensations and
rebuilding.He valued decision of president Saleh to stop war and
double efforts to realize peace and security in the governorate.
