Iran dismisses PGCC statement as an attempt to divert attention
TEHRAN, April 19 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ramin Mehmanparast has dismissed the most recent PGCC statement, saying it is an attempt to divert attention from certain regional countries’ military intervention in Bahrain.
“It is a matter of surprise that they claim Iran meddles in the regional countries’ affairs while certain countries’ military forces have trampled underfoot international law and conventions and intervened in their neighbor’s affairs and suppressed defenseless men and women,” Mehmanparast said on Monday.
The PGCC states, after a meeting in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on Sunday issued a statement calling on the international community and the UN Security Council to take the necessary measures to stop “the provocative interference” by Iran in the domestic affairs of their countries.
