Nasiriya oil field included in coming contracting round, says Shahristani

Baghdad (NINA) – Deputy Prime Minister, Hussein Shahristani, announced that Nasiriya oil field is included in the coming contracting round, a statement issued by Shahristani office mentioned Monday.

“The Deputy received Thi Qar Governor and Provincial Council members, listened to detailed explanation of the services in the province, especially electricity, oil, and water,” the statement added.

Shahristani pointed out that “the Ministry of Electricity will fix 3 power stations, 300mw capacity, in the coming stage; the operation hours in all provinces will be equal.”

“Basic designs for a refinery in Thi Qar Province has been laid and will be implemented in the coming period,” he concluded. /End/
