Premier, JICA's Chairman discuss increasing Japanese support to Yemen

SANA'A, Aug. 30 (Saba)-Prime Minister Ali Mujawar and Chairman of Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) discussed on Saturday increasing Japanese annual support to Yemen and accelerating technical and vocational cooperation between the tow countries and expanding energy cooperation.

Mujawar highlighted continuous Japanese support to Yemen's economic and social
development, expressing his government's appreciation to JICA's tendency for
increasing development programs.

For his part, the Japanese official affirmed that his visit to Yemen aims at
expanding the agency's activities in the country to cover new sectors since next
October, clarifying that a technical Japanese team would be sent for studying
cooperation's priorities for the forth coming period.

He expressed Japanese people's appreciation to Yemen's role in supporting security
and stability in the region, especially in the south of the Red Sea and Gulf of
Aden.
