4th Rock & Fire International Contest kicks off in resort city Krabi

KRABI, April 17 (TNA) - Rock climbers from around the world have lined up for Asia's biggest two-day climbing challenge in Thailand’s Krabi city, joined by 23 teams from seven countries.
Krabi Governor Prasit Osathanond lit-off the 4th Rock & Fire International Contest on Saturday on the beachside of Ao Nang’s Tham Phra Nang Cave, seasoned with a spectacular descent of two men at 40 metres.
When delivering his opening statement, Prasit reiterated that Krabi has always been an attractive tourist destination, renowned for its limestone mountains and the Rai-lay Bay, in addition to amazing cliff sites featuring over 600 climbing routes, and an array of touring facilities available.
Participants in this year’s annual rock climbing tournament, ending Sunday, include from Australia, England, Russia and Sweden, Malaysia, Iran, and Thailand. (TNA)
