Lukashenko denies authorities' link to Minsk metro blast
MINSK (Itar-Tass) - Belarusian President Alexander
Lukashenko has described as "thugs" the people who said that the
Belarusian authorities were behind the recent explosion in the Minsk metro.
"Those who are saying that the authorities did that to distract people'
s attention from economic problems are terrible people," Lukashenko told
reporters during a campaign of voluntary work on Saturday.
"Whether I am going to be your president or anybody else, you should
stay away from these people," Lukashenko warned.
He added he had done a lot to achieve peace and tranquillity in
Belarus.
