Iraqi economic delegation visits Kuwait

Basra (NINA) – Iraqi economic and commercial delegation discussed in Kuwait, with the Kuwaiti Chamber of Commerce and Industry, means of investing in Basra Province and mechanism of activating trade and economic relations.

Head of the Basra Investment Commission, Haidar Ali Fadhil, told NINA, Saturday, that “the Iraqi delegation comprised businessmen and investors; it was headed by Acting Basra Governor, and the Iraqi ambassador to Kuwait. While the Kuwaiti side on the talks comprised general manager of the Kuwaiti Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rabah Al Rabah.”

“Al Rabah appreciated the deep Iraqi-Kuwaiti relations, expressing hope that the meeting would result in increasing economic relations’ bonds,” Fadhil added.

He pointed out that the Basra investment commission supports the Kuwaiti investors legally under the Foreign Investors Protection law.

He concluded that “a lawsuit was filed to retrieve the Kuwaiti properties in Iraq, referring that the Kuwaitis own about 1000 real estate in Basra
