Ibadi: Iraqi assets in danger when international protection lifted next May
Baghdad (NINA) – Head of the Financial Committee at Parliament, Haidar Al Ibadi, called for adopting proper procedures to protect the Iraqi assets after the protection is lifted by next May.
Ibadi said during today’s parliament session that “the Iraqi assets are in danger, any hesitation and delay in the settlement agreement between the Iraqi government and the US could endanger these assets in case there were no alternative procedures.”
The Iraqi assets are under international protection, US protection, since the former regime time, the protection expires on May 5th, 2011.
