SEMINAR ON EFFECTIVE APPLICATION OF LAW ON FREEDOM OF ASSEMBLY HELD IN BAKU
Baku, 30 AUGUST,(AzerTAj)The Azerbaijan President`s Office, OSCE and CoE offices in Baku co-organized a seminar on effective application of the law on freedom of assembly in Azerbaijan. The event brought together heads of departments of the local governments and chiefs of police.
The seminar focused on the issues related to the application of the law on freedom of assembly.
Enhancing democratic processes, improving legislation to ensure human rights and freedoms in the country were discussed during the seminar.
Speakers stressed the law on freedom of assembly of Azerbaijan meets international standards after being amended. The attendees also expressed confidence the forthcoming presidential election in the
country would be conducted in a free, fair and transparent manner.
