Iranian students hold demo over suppression of Bahrain uprising
TEHRAN, April 16 (MNA) -- On Friday, a number of university students from across Tehran and Qazvin held a demonstration outside the Bahraini Embassy in Tehran to denounce the bloody massacre of protesters in Bahrain.
A number of foreign students studying at Imam Khomeini International University in Qazvin also took part in the demonstration.
The students chanted slogans in support of the Bahraini protesters and expressed their sympathy and solidarity with them.
They also shouted slogans against the Al-Khalifa, Al-Saud, and Al-Nahyan governments, and set Israeli and U.S. flags on fire.
A statement was also issued at the end of the demonstration in which the students called on the Iranian Foreign Ministry to review its ties with Riyadh in protest to the crimes the Saudi Arabian forces are committing in Bahrain.
They also urged the Foreign Ministry to boycott umra (lesser pilgrimage) and expel Saudi Arabian ambassador from Tehran.
