S.BATBOLD MEETS UNESCO AND WATP EXPERTS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister S.Batbold met Thursday Dr. Yoslan Nur, a specialist of the UNESCO Program, and Dr. O.Dog-song, a secretary-general of the World Association for Technological Park (WATP).
A work has started to create a cluster for a high technological innovation in accordance with a memorandum established during the visit of the Premier to the Republic of Korea. These representatives are paying a visit to Mongolia to share experiences with Mongolia in working out a national program on creating the high technological innovation cluster for information and communication. This program will be approved soon by the government of Mongolia.
The Premier has expressed a satisfaction with successful realization of the work, and thanked the visitors for rendering an assistance to Mongolia and for cooperating in the work.
The UNESCO and the WATP representatives, who are conducting some researches into present situation of information and technology and further trends together with officials of related organizations, have said they are ready to comprehensively support the governmental goal to create an innovation cluster and a silicon valley. They intend to work out and implement a four-phase master-plan, stressing that it is needed to realize complex projects and programs to construct a innovation cluster, a silicon valley and camps for universities and institutes.
