Russia agreed new helicopter sales to Brazil
RIO DE JANEIRO, April 15 (Itar-Tass) -- Russia agreed new helicopter
sales to Brazil and plans to offer licensed production of the latest Su-35
jet of the 4++ generation.
The Russian Helicopters Company signed a deal on Thursday at the Latin
America Air & Defense (LAAD-2001) international exhibition to deliver two
Mi-171A1 helicopters to Brazil already this year.
Besides, a Ka-32A11RC helicopter will be supplied to the Helipark Taxi
Aereo Company. Servicing centers for Mil and Kamov helicopters are to be
set up in Brazil.
Russian Helicopters also signed a contract with Qualy Company to sell
light Mi-34C1 craft that are expected to be in high demand at the FIFA
World Cup and Olympic Games in 2016.
Head of the Russian delegation at the LAAD-2011 Sergei Goreslavsky
told a press conference the exhibition was a success and "gave grounds to
be sure that cooperation with Brazil and other countries of the region
will develop positively."
Sergei Ladygin, chief delegate of Rosoboronexport arms trader, told
Tass combat Mi-35M helicopter attracted general attention at the
exhibition. Russia has already supplied six craft to Brazil and six more
have to be delivered.
Russia also plans to propose to Brazil the latest Su-35 jet. The talk
is about "full cycle of licensed production of the super fighter," Ladygin
said.

complex to Brazil. Ivan Zhmurko from Almaz-Antei producer told Tass
