Medvedev gives interview to journalists in Hainan

SANYA (Hainan Province, China), April 14 (Itar-Tass) - President
Dmitry Medvedev ended his working day in the Hainan Island with giving an
interview to journalists and visiting a concert.
Medvedev, now on a working visit to China, took part in the work of
the BRICS summit on Thursday. A declaration of BRICS leaders on key
problems of world politics and partnership was adopted on its results. The
President summed up the results of the Thursday work in an interview with
Russian journalists.
He invited the journalists, who are covering his visit to China, to
his residence in Ritz Carlton Hotel, on the coast of the resort city of
Sanya, and answered their questions for more than an hour. The questions
dealt not only with the meeting of leaders of the BRICS countries, but
also with other problems, specifically, the situation around Libya and the
recent act of terrorism in Belarus.
Medvedev shared his impressions of the stay in Hainan. He offered to
journalists the most popular local drink - coconut milk, which is served
in coco shells.
On Thursday night the President will go to a celebration concert,
devoted to the tenth anniversary of the Boao economic forum. Working
meetings of the forum, which was given the name of Asian Davos, will be
held on April 15, Friday. Medvedev will attend them too and will make a
report on Russia's prospects at the markets of the Asia-Pacific Region.
