Gynaecologist guilty of indecent assault
SYDNEY (AAP) - April 14 - A NSW gynaecologist has been found guilty of indecently assaulting two women, but was acquitted of inappropriately touching another three patients.
Judge Greg Woods, who heard the trial without a jury in the NSW District Court, delivered his verdict on Thursday.
The doctor, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had pleaded not guilty to indecently assaulting the five patients in 2002 and 2003.
He was accused of touching or manipulating the clitoris of each of the women during the course of an internal pelvic examination.
He will be sentenced on a later date and the judge continued his bail.
