Thai government's rescue teams to reach Songkran scenes in 10 minutes

BANGKOK, April 14 (TNA) - Permanent Secretary for Public Health Paijit warachit, in his capacity as the second vice chairman of Thailand's ad hoc road safety command center during this year's Songkran Festival, said on Thursday that rescue teams arranged by his ministry have remained on standby to be dispatched for immediate assistance for injured people in any area within 10 minutes.

Dr. Paijit revealed that his ministry has also arranged medical teams to station at local hospitals' emergency and operation rooms around the clock; while the hospitals have also been told to ensure blood and oxygen stocks ready for use in anytime. (TNA)
