BRICS potential hoped to improve UN effectiveness

SANYA, April 14 (Itar-Tass) - BRICS countries should better use their
potential of partnership to enhance the effectiveness of the resolutions
of the UN Security Council, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev declared ,
analyzing the results of the BRICS summit held on Hainan, China.
"Over the past year BRICS made a noticeable progress in deepening a
political dialogue; the relations of mutual confidence and the level of
cooperation in the international affairs have considerably improved,"
Medvedev said.
"This is also true of cooperation in the framework of the UN Security
Council which incorporates all the BRICS states, " Medvedev said. "One
should take advantage of the situation to ensure that all the resolutions
of the UN General Assembly and the UN Security Council be effective and
respected," Medvedev said.
