Countries must differentiate between friends and enemies: Iran

TEHRAN, April 13 (MNA) -- Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ramin Mehmanparast during his weekly press briefing on Tuesday also replied to a question about the reports saying that Argentine officials have sent some messages to Iran in which they expressed readiness to put aside the issue about Iran’s alleged involvement in the 1994 bombing of the Argentine Israeli Mutual Association (AMIA) building and to normalize relations with Iran.

He stated that the case of the AMIA attack was part of a plot devised by the Zionist regime which was meant to limit Iran’s presence in certain countries.

Countries must differentiate their real friends from enemies, he said, adding, “In this case, the issues will be resolved, and cooperation will be established.”

Kuwait’s expulsion of Iranian diplomats was sedition incited by Israel’s allies

Asked about Kuwait’s expulsion of three Iranian diplomats of the Iranian Embassy in Kuwait City, based on allegations that they had links to a spy network, Mehmanparast said that the whole issue was “sedition” provoked by certain Western countries that are seeking to create discord among the people of other states in order to protect the interests of the Zionist regime.

He added that the popular uprisings taking place in the region have endangered the interests of the Zionist regime, and its Western allies are attempting to save Israel.

However, maintaining good relations with neighbors, with the aim of promoting regional peace and stability, is a foreign policy priority of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mehmanparast stated.
