Thai Muslim spiritual leader's health condition stable

BANGKOK, April 12 (TNA) - Chulalongkorn Hospital’s doctor reveals the latest condition of Thailand's Muslim spiritual leader, who has recently suffered from a stroke, saying that his health condition was now stable after having been given physical therapy and treatment for blood pressure control.

Professor Adisorn Phatradul, director of Chulalongkorn Hospital, released the updated health report of Chularatchamontri Aziz Pitakkhumpol, who was hospitalised on Sunday with minor stroke, insisting that his condition was now stable, although he still cannot move his left arm very well.

Adisorn also said doctors still have to closely monitor his symptoms after an X-ray image showed small bleeding in the right part of his brain, adding they will continue providing him physical therapy and treatment for blood pressure control.

Meanwhile, Neural surgeon Professor Surachai Khaoroptham revealed the stroke resulted from prolonged high blood pressure caused by stress and lack of rest.

Prof. Surachai noted however, Aziz has not developed any further health complications, and is expected to leave the intensive care unit in the next few days. (TNA)
