Senior exec of VTB bank may take place on Rosneft board of directors

MOSCOW, April 12 (Itar-Tass) - Senior Vice-President of Vneshtorkbank
/VTB/, Sergei Shishin, may take the position on the board of directors of
Russian oil industry major, OAO Rosneft, that has been vacated by Deputy
Prime Minister Igor Sechin.
Monday, Sechin became the first government member who fulfilled
President Dmitry Medvedev's instruction that all the deputy prime
ministers and cabinet ministers should quit positions on the boards of
directors of largest Russian companies where the government has stakes.
All the cabinet members are expected to fulfill the instruction before
July 1.
Sechin stepped down from the position at Rosneft Monday, the company
said in an official report upon the end of the directors' session, the
company said in an official press release.
An independent member of the board, Dr Andrei Nekipelov, a
vice-president of the Russian Academy of Science will perform the
functions of chairman of the board of directors for the time being.
