Russian physicians going to Misnk to help treating metro blast

MOSCOW, April 12 (Itar-Tass) - A team of Russian physicians including
neurosurgeons, intensive care specialists and surgeons are getting ready
to fly to the Belarussian capital Minsk and to assist the Belarussian
counterparts in treating the survivors of Monday's blast in the Minsk
metro.
Monday night, a powerful explosion at the downtown Oktyabrskaya
station left eleven people dead and another 126, wounded.
"A team of physicians is being formed now and they'll fly to Minsk by
a regular commercial flight," an official at the Russian Ministry of
Public Health and Social Development told Itar-Tass.
The specialists who will be dispatched to Minsk for rendering
consultative assistance specialize in mine-blast traumas.
At the time of the reporting, the number of physicians on the team was
being clarified.
The Public Health Ministry source said he had no information on the
time the team would leave for Minsk.
