More aid from Thailand to reach Japan
BANGKOK, April 11 (TNA) - The Thai Agriculture and Cooperatives Ministry has collated around 400,000 baht worth of funding to assist the Japanese people, marking the latest contributions to Japan in the wake of the March 11 earthquake and tsunami.
According to the report, Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister Theera Wongsamut, officially handed the aid funds to Japanese Ambassador to Thailand, H.E. Seiji Kojima, Monday afternoon.
On the occasion, Theera also extended his condolences to the Japanese people but commended them for their unremitting strength in facing the aftermath of the catastrophe.
Meanwhile, the official insisted his ministry will do all it can to provide necessary support to the Tokyo government, and recalled past bilateral contributions and cooperation between two Asian neighbors in the agricultural sector. (TNA)
