Radiation level in North Korea of no threat for population

PYONGYANG, April 10 (Itar-Tass) - Radiation, getting into North Korea
evidently from the stricken Fukushima-1 nuclear plant in Japan "is of no
threat to health", reported the KCNA news agency, referring to expert
opinion.
The presence of radioactive particles of iodine and caesium was
detected in the cities of Wonsan and Chongjin, located on the coast of the
Sea of Japan, called here the North Korean, as well as in North Korean
capital Pyongyang. By the results of measurements, the average content of
iodine-131 in the air amounted to 0.03 millibecuerels per cubic metre and
caesium-137 - 0.04 mBc.
Local weathermen now believe that "it is important to step up control
over measurements of weather conditions, including direction of winds".
North Korean medics advise using more seaweed in food to secrete
radiation from the organism. In their opinion, mineral water and beer are
also useful in this respect.
