State Duma to have hearings on Central Asia situation April 13

MOSCOW, April 10 (Itar-Tass) -- Russia's State Duma will convene
closed parliamentary hearings on the situation in Central Asia, Chairman
of the CIS Affairs Alexei Ostrovsky said.
"Next week, the CIS Affairs Committee will organise on Wednesday,
April 13, at 11:30 Moscow time, very serious closed parliamentary hearings
devoted to problems of Russia's national security in connection with the
dramatic processes in Central Asia," he said. "The topic is more than
vital, and we expect top officials from most core ministries and
authorities to be present."
"We expect most deputies will participate in the hearings," Ostrovsky
said.
