Kaliningrad Region buys houses for medical staff, teachers
KALININGRAD, April 10 (Itar-Tass) -- Russia's Kaliningrad Region plans
to buy over the current yea flats for doctors and teachers, who return
back to Russia from abroad.
This is part of the State programme to support voluntarily return of
Russia's citizens from abroad, the region's Minister of Municipal
Development Alexander Blinov told the local government.
"The government has bought from the beginning of the current year nine
flats of 540 square metres and at least eleven more flats will be bought
at the municipal expense for medical staff and teachers," he said.
Over the past three years, 173 compatriots chose to come to live in
the Kaliningrad Region under the state programme.
"All those workable, have jobs, with an exception to those on
maternity leave or those who still continue their formalities in the
migration service," Blinov said. As of early April, about 300 more
specialists in medicine and education have announced their intention to
come to live in the Kaliningrad Region.
Over the past three years, over 10,000 new citizens came to
Kaliningrad, which is over 30 percent of those who decided to return to
Russia. As of now, the programme organisers say that 3,421 participant in
the programme and 4,090 members of their families are expected to arrive.
"In order to ease the registration procedures, the regional government
allowed those who had returned to Russia to stay in temporary flat for two
years," Blinov said.
Easier registration procedures will let solve quicker many problems of
the compatriots. It would be easier to let them be registered at locations
where they are at the moment.
"Russia's state commission on implementation of the programme
supported the suggestions from the local government, and they are
forwarded to the Federal Migration Service," he added.
