Chancellor SSUET pays rich tribute to Late Dr. Nabi Bux Baloch

Karachi, April 08, 2011 (PPI): Engr. Z.A. Nizami, Chancellor of Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi has condoled the sad demise of renowned educationist, scholar and writer Dr. Nabi Bux Baloch and termed it a great loss to the nation that has created a void which will be difficult to fill for a long time.

While expressing his profound grief and sorrow to the bereaved family over the loss, Nizami said that Dr. N B Baloch was one of those Pakistanis who earned great fame by making lasting literary contributions in Sindhi, Arabic, Persian and Urdu languages. His research on history of Sindh and compilation of Sindhi dictionary were commendable addition to the cultural heritage.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with equanimity.

Engr. Muhammad Zakir Ali Khan, General Secretary of Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys' Association, also condoled the death of Dr. Nabi Bux Baloch and extended his sympathy to the bereaved family.

In condolence message Zakir Khan said that late Nabi Bux Baloch was a man of high stature and his death is a great loss to the nation. He prayed Almighty Allah to shower blessings on the departed soul.

Dr. Nabi Bux Baloch was the prominent and active member of SSUET Board of Governors since beginning and his efforts for the promotion of quality education in the university were commendable.
