SHO and his gunman attacked through hand grenade
Peshawar, April 08, 2011 (PPI): Two police men including a Station House Officer were injured when hand grenade hurled at police men while they were going on feet in Rahman Baba Colony, Police said.
SHO Satar Khan S/O Behram Khan along with his gun man head constable Sanaab S/O Mohammad Ali were walking out of their quarter situated in front of Awami Plaza, Rahman Baba Colony they came under attack.
The initial investigation conducted by Bomb Disposal Squad suggested that the police man were attacked through a hand grenade. The injured police men were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar where their condition is stated to be out of danger.
Police force soon after the blast rushed to the scene the cordoned off the area. Rescue 1122 and Edhi ambulance also reached the spot to shift the injured to hospital. However due to low intensity the blast did not cause any damage to the adjacent buildings.
Terrorists of the first time attacked police party inside busy market of the city. In the pas terrorist were trying to target police at the outskirts of the Peshawar from they could mange their escape good.
