Yemen allocates YR 5 mln to reconstruct health sector in Saada

SANA'A, Aug. 28 (Saba) - Minister of Public Health and Population
Abdul Karim Rase'a said that the ministry allocate YR 5 million to
carry out an urgent plan to reconstruct health sector in Saada
governorate during 2008-2009.

Health Ministry has presented to the cabinet a report includes a
summary to the health situation in Saada and an urgent plan to
reconstruct it, Rase'a stated to the weekly 26 September.

The report showed that about 20, of 101 health facilities in Saada,
do not work due to the looted acts during the sedition, noting that
a number of international organizations have provided recently
urgent aid estimated to be $ 3 million to Saada a part of has been
appropriated to provide the refugees camps with medicine.

He added that the World Food Program has also provided food aid of $
5 million to the displaced persons.
