RESULTS OF PREMIER'S VISITS DISCUSSED
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The cabinet has discussed outcomes of the official visits of the Premier to the Republic of Singapore and to Australia, and obliged a Foreign Minister to submit them to the National Security Council (NSC).
At invitation of the Singaporean Premier Lee Hsien Loong, S.Batbold paid the official to Singapore in February 16-19, 2011. The sides underlined that opportunities exist to cooperate in the fields of investments, education and health. The countries agreed in principle to establish a memorandum on developing a cooperation in the health, education and customs sectors, collaborate with a Singaporean bank.
The official visit to Australia was the very first one paid on the Premier level since the establishment of the diplomatic relations in 1972. During the visit, the two sides issued a joint statement after individual meeting of the Premiers. They shared views on widening the relations and on developing the cooperation in the mining, agriculture, health, education and scientific spheres, and considered international and regional issues. The sides expressed a mutual willingness to collaborate in the mining and investments sectors.
Australia said it had decided to render a non-refundable aid of USD 1.5 million to Mongolia.
