ABOUT AUTO ROAD WORKS
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ On Wednesday, the cabinet discussed and backed an auto road matter to be implemented in frames of the "New construction" program. A bill will be submitted to the State Great Khural on exempting widely-dispersed mineral resources from the payment for construction of auto road and bridges.
The bill also has a clause on exempting customs duty and VAT from the machines and equipment which will be used by national companies in road and construction. Additionally, a list of road construction works and their plans has been approved. These works will be done under direct contracts in a scope of the law on purchasing products, works and services with state and local capitals.
Ministers, heads of agencies related sectors and the city's authorities have been ordered to establish the contracts, ensure implementation of these contracts, finance the works through the Developmental Bank. By the way, MNT 554.3 billion is required for the 1,242.4 km roads to be run under the direct contracts.
