Ten says CEO appointment unanimous

Ten Network Holdings Ltd head Lachlan Murdoch says all directors supported the appointment of James Warburton as the broadcaster's new chief executive.
"James was approved though by unanimous decision of the board and I should leave it like that," Mr Murdoch said during a conference call for Ten's first half results on Thursday.
"We are excited to have him join the company."
Ten sacked its former chief executive Grant Blackley from the top job on February 23, and on March 2 said that Mr Warburton, formerly chief sales and digital officer at Seven, would replace him.
Mr Murdoch's friend and fellow board member James Packer resigned from the Ten board immediately after Mr Warburton's appointment was announced to the market.
Media reports at the time suggested Mr Packer stepped down from the board after a falling out with Mr Murdoch over the appointment and a desire to maintain his friendship with Seven boss Kerry Stokes.
Mr Warburton was to have started with Ten in July, but Seven has taken legal action in the NSW Supreme Court in a bid to delay him starting at Ten until October 2012.
Seven contends provisions in his employment contract and participation in a management equity plan at Seven constrain him from working at another media company.
