MONASTERY GETS PROTECTION

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A protection zone will embrace on 53 thousand 782 hectares all immovable historic and cultural heritage of the Amarbayasgalant monastery in Baruunburen soum, Selenge aimag, the cabinet decided on Wednesday at its meeting and approved geodetic coordinates of the zone's border.
By this aims are pursued to elaborate a management plan as a preparation for being registered at the World heritage, to repair and protect the monastery and its surroundings.
The cabinet has obliged a governor of Selenge aimag to build fences, mark signs and posts around and in the protection zone to protect the territorial integrity, ban buildings erection and harmful for the monastery actions.
For the time being, apart of seven memorabilia in UB city, Mongolia has created such zones to protect over 20 immovable heritage, for example, Kharkhorum, Avarga ruins, Ongot complex, Deer stone in Uushig, ruins of western Khuree and of Khar balgas.
