Moscow to host assembly of Association of national Olympic committees

LONDON, April 7 (Itar-Tass) --The 18th General Assembly of the
Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) will be held in Moscow in 2012.
The decision to hold the General Assembly in Moscow was made in London
at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Olympic
Committee on Wednesday, April 6.
ANOC President Mario Vazquez Rana said, addressing Russia's Olympic
Committee President Alexander Zhukov, he was glad that the Assembly 2012
would tale place in the Russian capital and expressed hope that it would
be held at the highest level.
Zhukov thanked ANOC for the trust. "The ANOC Assembly is an excellent
opportunity to host the presidents of the Olympic Committees from around
the world and the heads of international federations," he said.
The General Assembly will take place on April 12-17, 2012.
At the end of July 2011, an ANOC commission will travel to Moscow on
an exploratory visit.
