Zebari, Finnish minister discuss bilateral relations
Baghdad (NINA) – Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari, discussed with Finland's Minister of Foreign Trade and Development, Paavo Väyrynen, the relations between Iraq and Finland.
A statement issued on Wednesday, Apr. 6, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that in the meeting the two discussed Iraq-Finland relations, the necessity to activate the Finnish Embassy in Baghdad and the role of Finnish firms in Iraq's development projects.
It added that they also discussed the situation in the Arab world and the region, as well as demands for peaceful and democratic change.
The Finnish Minister is on a visit to Iraq heading a delegation representing his country's government, the trade and media.
