Yemen arrests four persons suspected of involvement in terrorism

SANA'A, Aug. 28 (Saba)- Security services have arrested four people
suspected of involvement in terrorist acts that recently took place
in the cities of Sayon, Tarim and Mukalla, the east of Yemen.

According to Interior Ministry, the arrested persons are being
investigated by the security services in Hadramout province.

Meanwhile, a security source said on Thursday that a 20-years-old
Yemeni was detained by security forces in Sayon after displaying a
number of explosive dynamites.

"The man pointed out he had found the dynamites beside scrap in
Sayon city", said the source.

Yemen also arrested last week 30 suspected members of the al-Qaeda
terrorist network. The 30 men, all Yemenis, were captured in the
south-eastern province of Hadramout, where police forces dismantled
an al-Qaeda cell on August 12, a police source was quoted as saying
by the 26 September weekly.

The arrests were made after police gained information about the
suspects from documents and a computer found in the al-Qaeda house
raided by police in Tarim city.

Last week, Yemen extradited to Saudi Arabia eight Saudis wanted by
Saudi security authorities on security-related charges.
