Hamoudi: Iraq offered to mediate in Bahrain’s crisis

Baghdad (NINA) – Head of the Foreign Relations Committee at parliament, Humam Hamoudi, unveiled that Iraq offered “to mediate to solve the Bahrain’s crisis between the people and government.”

“Iraqiya Slate MPs, asked for suspending the parliament for a day in solidarity with Bahrain, they signed, along with the National Alliance and Kurdish Alliance, to issue a joint statement in this regard,” a statement issued by the committee said Tuesday.

Hamoudi added “the important thing is that we do not want the Bahrain events to be negatively reflected in Iraq, and this is an important step forward.”
