Syria is Iran’s friend: Iranian president
TEHRAN, April 5 (MNA) - “The Syrian government and nation are our friends,” President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told reporters at a press conference in Tehran on Monday.
Asked about Iran’s position toward the unrest in Syria, Ahmadinejad said, “We do not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries.”
The U.S. and its allies do not want the Syrian nation to live in peace, however, the Syrian nation and government will manage to resolve their problems themselves, Ahmadinejad added.
