MINISTER OF LABOR MEETS MRS. HORIBE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Social Welfare and Labor T.Gandi received Tuesday Mrs. Nobuko Horibe, a Director of United Nations Population Fund's (UNFPA) Asia and the Pacific Regional Office.
This Ministry has been cooperating with the UNFPA in implementing some projects and programs on supporting a development of youths, ensuring a gender equality, matters of life expectancy, family development and demographic policy. The planned joint measures are to improve laws and legal documents and to strengthen their capability, to create a national system fully in charge of population's development.
The Minister has expressed a willingness to cooperate with the UNFPA in fulfilling these purposes, co-implementing model projects on attracting poor and homeless people to a normal social life, and refining upon a state structure of supporting family development.
Mrs. Horibe has underlined an importance of sharing experiences and information, ensuring the activity consistence by determining issues, improving the monitoring and evaluation.
She has said the UNFPA would widen its collaboration with Mongolia and increase the financing.
