DPRK delegation of officials visits USA

PYONGYANG, April 5 (Itar-Tass) -- A delegation of officials from the DPRK visited the United States the other day, in particular, the Google headquarters in California, the South Korean newspaper Chosun Ilbo writes.
After that the medium-level officials visited the Stanford University and dined with staffers of IT companies in the Silicon Valley. The DPRK delegation also visited New York, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco and the headquarters of the companies Qualcomm and Bloomberg.
The initiator of these meetings is unknown. US private companies often arrange tours for DPRK medium-level officials to the United States to make them feel the spirit of capitalism, which cannot be said about big Korean figures whose entrance is closed.
"It's likely that that the US administration arranged the visit to the Google headquarters with the aim of showing them the level of the country's high technological development and the degree of its influence on the world technical progress," a spokesman for the South Korean Foreign Ministry said.
