President Ilham Aliyev inspects capital`s Gobustan and Alat settlements
As reported earlier, President Ilham Aliyev on March 9 chaired the meeting on socio-economic development of Baku and surrounding settlements. The meeting took place at the Baku city administration, official website of the Azerbaijani President reported.
In his closing remarks, President Aliyev gave instructions on socio-economic development of Baku and surrounding settlements.
On April 4 the Head of State traveled to Gobustan and Alat settlements of Garadag region for over on-site inspection of what has been done thus far to implement President`s instructions with respect to socio-economic development of suburban settlements of Azerbaijan`s capital.
Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalybov briefed the President on inter-settlement and settlement roads which demand reconstruction. According to Abutalybov, major repairs of inter-settlement roads have started in Gobustan settlement, with about 15 thousand population.
Then President Ilham Aliyev met with local community. The residents expressed gratitude to the President for the promotion of socio-economic development of suburban settlements of Baku.
President Ilham Aliyev also inspected Alat settlement and met with local community here. The Head of State was informed that 4,500 s.m. area of inter-settlement roads in Alat was paved with new asphalt coat. The construction of a new school and a hospital in Alat following the instructions of the President Ilham Aliyev is also on the agenda.
