Leighton wins $A105 Abu Dhabi contract

Leighton Holdings Ltd says it has won a contract worth $A105 million to construct the new headquarters of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, in Abu Dhabi.
Leighton says its Middle East subsidiary Al Habtoor Leighton Group will start work immediately on the project, which is expected to completed in 18 months.
"Al Habtoor Leighton Group has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality building projects within the UAE, (United Arab Emirates) and Abu Dhabi remains a key market for us," Al Habtoor Leighton chief executive Laurie Voyer said in a statement on Monday.
Al Habtoor will construct two towers that comprise ground floor, mezzanine level and 12 upper floors as well as four levels of basement parking.
A section of the ground floor will house the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank's flagship retail branch, with the remaining floor area to house retail tenants.
At 1530 AEST, shares in Leighton were down 29 cents at $29.37.
