Arab Ministers of Finance convene in Cairo

Cairo, August 28 , SPA -- The Secretary General of Arab League, Amr
Moussa, chaired here today a closed-door consultative meeting with
Arab ministers of finance and economy members of the Economic and
Social Council before the 82nd session of the Economic and Social
Developmental Council scheduled later today.

Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf , the Minister of Finance
led the Saudi delegation to the meeting.

The meeting focused on coordinating positions on issues on the
Council's agenda, particularly concerning the completion of
preparations for the Arab, Economic Developmental and Social Summit
to be held in Kuwait on January 19 -20, 2009.


The closed-door meeting also focused on the new session of the
Council revolving around developing a Greater Arab Free Trade Zone
and removing the remaining obstacles.
