KAZAN, April 4 (Itar-Tass) -- An inauguration ceremony of an Islamic library, which King of Saudi Arabia Abdallah bin Abd al-Aziz Al Saud presented to Tatarstan, will be opened at the Russian Islamic University here on Monday.
"The library funds make 40,000 books and dictionaries on the Arab
language in linguistics, geography, sociology, political science,
economics, informatics, philosophy, logics and psychology. These are the books on moral values, culture, the Islamic creed, law and arts, Koranic studies and interpretation. The life story of Muslim Prophet Muhammad and the lives of prominent Islamic scientists and outstanding personalities are available at the library," a representative of the Islamic University Danis Garayev said.
All the literature on the Arab language at the library is published by the leading publishing houses in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and embraces the whole scope of traditional Islamic sciences. "The Saudi Ministry of Culture and Information has been inaugurating similar libraries in all countries for many years. The Islamic University in Kazan is the first one in Russia to receive such a generous gift," Garayev noted.
