Newly elected MPs win place in NSW cabinet

SYDNEY, April 3(AAP)- The NSW cabinet has been sworn in during a ceremony at Sydney's Government House.
The 22-member frontbench includes three new faces - two newly elected MPs and one who did not serve in the coalition's shadow cabinet.
The two newly elected MPs are Robyn Parker in the seat of Maitland who is the Environment and Heritage Minister and Graham Annesley, the member for Miranda, who is the Sport and Recreation Minister.
The third new face on the frontbench is Victor Dominello, the Ryde MP who has been appointed Minister for Citizenship, Communities and Aboriginal Affairs. Mr Dominello won Ryde after a term in the Legislative Council but was not in the shadow cabinet.
There are seven National Party members compared with eight who served in the shadow ministry.
There are five women and 11 of the ministers hail from regional NSW.
"We ... have the balance in terms of the upper house, in terms of women, but also in terms of experience," Deputy Premier Andrew Stoner told reporters after the swearing-in ceremony.
"The bulk of the team has been in their positions, or close to, over at least the last four years - and, in many cases, longer than that, in opposition."
Premier Barry O'Farrell added: "It means we can now get on and deliver the real change that NSW needs."
